Acquisition Desk Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 27, 2026

Overview

Acquisition Desk is a private workflow system operated for its owner. It assists with small-business acquisition research, deal-flow tracking, broker communications, follow-up recommendations, and scheduling.

Google data accessed

Acquisition Desk accesses Google data only after the account owner grants permission. Depending on the feature enabled, this may include:

  • Google Sheets content in spreadsheets selected or shared by the owner, including deal-flow records;
  • Gmail messages and conversation metadata needed to identify acquisition opportunities, broker correspondence, and follow-up patterns; and
  • Google Calendar information needed to review availability and create or manage follow-up events only after owner approval.

How Google data is used

Google data is used only to provide and improve the owner-requested Acquisition Desk functions. This includes summarizing relevant messages, identifying possible opportunities, updating authorized deal-flow records, recommending follow-up timing, and carrying out owner-approved calendar actions.

Acquisition Desk’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Storage and security

Authentication credentials are stored in protected credential storage on systems controlled by the owner. Operational records and generated summaries may be stored in the owner’s local Acquisition Desk runtime and authorized dashboard services. Access is limited to the owner and the services required to perform the requested workflow.

Sharing and disclosure

Acquisition Desk does not sell Google user data. Google user data is not used for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling. Data is not disclosed to third parties except when necessary to operate the owner-requested service, when directed by the owner, or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained only for as long as needed to operate the Acquisition Desk workflow or until the owner deletes it. The owner may revoke Google access at any time through the Google Account permissions page. Revocation stops future API access. Locally retained records can be deleted by the owner from the Acquisition Desk runtime.

User control

The owner controls which Google account, spreadsheets, messages, and calendars are authorized. Calendar events and external communications are not created or sent without the owner’s direction or approval.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Acquisition Desk features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest revision.
